Day 1Gallipoli Battlefields Down

On this private Gallipoli Battlefields tour, you’ll experience a fascinating and emotional journey through the historic World War I sites of Gallipoli. Departing early from your hotel in Istanbul's Old City, you'll travel to Gallipoli for a detailed afternoon tour of the battlefield. First, visit the Lone Pine Australian Memorial and the Chunuk Bair New Zealand Memorial, both solemn tributes to the soldiers who fought here. You will then continue to significant sites like ANZAC Cove, Brighton Beach, and the Beach Cemetery, before exploring Ari Burnu Cemetery, where many ANZAC soldiers are buried. A walk through Johnston's Jolly will take you through preserved Allied and Turkish trenches and tunnels. You’ll also visit the 57th Regiment Turkish Memorial and The Nek, sites of intense and pivotal moments of the battle. After the tour, return to Istanbul in the evening. This tour offers a deeply moving and comprehensive look at Gallipoli’s World War I history.
